There is more than enough food available to feed everyone, yet millions of pounds of food are wasted every year. The Urban Food Movement is changing that.
Every week, TUFM rescues surplus food from restaurants, businesses, schools, and other organizations and shares it with people throughout the community. Our goal is simple: prevent food waste and ensure that good food reaches people instead of landfills.
We receive donated food and grocery products weekly, of which 50% is fresh produce! These donated items come from individuals and the local food industry, including distributors, farmers, and retailers.
Coordinated food rescue efforts and redistributed surplus food to EVERY one in the community, reducing waste and supporting those in need.
